Welcome back to my blog! Today I wanted to share with you something that I've been using for a couple of months now that made a huge difference on my troubled skin. Let me share with you how it started and how I finally found a solution to my problem.
I started to have little bumps/pimples on my forehead early this year for some unknown reason. I ignored it not knowing that it will worsen. Pimples started spreading from my forehead to my cheeks and chin area. It was the worst acne experience I've ever had in my entire life. Foundation/concealer became my best friends that time because I didn't have the confidence to face people without covering my face. I stopped eating junk foods, slept early, changed my skin care routine, etc. in hopes that it will heal and naturally fade, but nothing really seemed to work. It was the worst, I tell ya. So I decided to seek professional help and went to a dermatologist. She recommended a lot of medicine, from topical ointments to oral antibiotics. My acne lessened, but once a few heal, new pimples are formed. Months passed and I still feel awful about my skin so I decided to go to a different doctor.
She told me to stop using all the products I've been using before and recommended that I use these two products instead. The Acneed Foam Wash and Epiduo Gel. She explained with detailed information about why we're having acne and all that stuff. She said that acne is caused by bacteria but what causes its formation could any be of the following: stress, hormonal imbalance, and unhealthy lifestyle.
Epiduo Gel is the only antibiotic-free topical acne treatment with a fixed dose combination of 0.1% adapalene and 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. It helps clear up the breakouts you have now and helps prevent future pimples from forming.
Benzoyl peroxide is one of the two effective medicines in Epiduo Gel. It's an antimicrobial which kills the bacteria that lead to breakouts and helps prevent pimples from coming back. Adapalene is a type of retinoid, and the other medicine in Epiduo Gel. It unclogs blocked pores, helping to stop acne from forming under the skin's surface and decreasing the redness, swelling and inflammation associated with pimples
The Epiduo Gel is supposed to be an topical ointment applied only on areas where you have existing acne and where you feel like a new pimple is forming. Apply once or twice a day on on the spot. Apply thinly.
What I think about this product?
This is probably the BEST acne ointment out in the market today. I'm not even kidding when I say that this really helped clear out my acne COMPLETELY. My acne slowly subsided after a month of using this. Now, it's not true that your face will clear up just after days of using a certain product. You really have to wait for 3-4 weeks before the medicine really kicks in. After a month I'm left with maybe 1 to 3 small pimples until after two months I have few zits to none. When you're left with no more pimples, it is recommended to use this as a spot treatment whenever you get occasional acne.
This product have side effects that you must consider though. You might experience redness, scaling, dryness, stinging or burning while using this. It's bearable, but I'm telling you it's all worth it.

Acneed Foam Wash by Eskeen Laboratories
For cleansing, I was using a different facial wash before this. It is the kind of cleanser that leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean. My Derma told me to stop using it because it makes my skin super dry, to combat the dryness, my skin tends to produce more oil which leads to bacteria causing pimples.
Acneed Foam Wash is a gentle foaming cleanser to be used twice a day (morning and night) as your regular facial wash.
I love this foam cleanser, and its gonna take a while before I change into another face cleanser. This is a mild cleanser that leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturize after washing. It doesn't leave your skin feeling tight and dry.
It comes in a 80 ml pump bottle which is hygienic and easy to use.
I often use two pumps of the fine foam for the whole face.

I bought this at my doctor's clinic, but I'm sure you can find this at stores selling Eskeen Laboratories' products.
I'm absolutely grateful to my dermatologist for recommending such wonderful products. I know many girls are suffering from mild to severe acne as well, and I know the feeling because it ain't easy to face people when you're too shy because they might judge you with your current skin condition. I definitely suggest that you go to a Dermatologist and get your skin checked because what works for me might not work for you. It's really about knowing your skin and finding what works for you. But I hope that this post helped you in a way!
